DeFever Cruisers
An outstanding support group for owners of DeFever vessels is active across the country and around the world. Wherever one is with their DeFever help and friendship is only a call or an email away. Last Dance has had many experiences of being seen traveling on the water by another DeFever owner and being contacted with questions: "Why didn't you let us know you were in the area?" "Why don't you travel up the river a couple miles and stay at our dock?" "Can we offer you a ride to the Grocery or anywhere else?" Friendships are instantly formed.
There is an active forum where questions are posted, quickly getting answers to the DeFever owner's inquiry. Suggestions are offered on cruising, destinations, and tips on places to visit. If an issue or question ever arises, a solution from the experts, with many years of experience is offered.
Rendezvous are held on both coasts of the United States. Solomons, Maryland will be the site of the east coast Rendezvous in 2019. A Rende is a gathering of boats and boating people to learn about and enjoy their boats and partake in a great social event. The benefits of being a member of DeFever Cruisers is valued by many as evidenced by how many owners of boats by other designers are members. There is a category for owners of Some other Boat, known affectionately as SOB's.

Click on the link above to enter the DeFever Cruisers website and learn about the people and boats who cruise on a DeFever. A large part of the website is password protected and only available to members, such as the membership list. Being able to access contact information on other members is often helpful in getting advice about someone's local cruising waters or making arrangement for a get-together.
It is often said: "That anytime two or more DeFevers gather, a Rendevous occurs." A true statement. The image above is of four DeFevers at anchor at Harbor Island in northern Lake Huron - a DeFever 40 Passagemaker, a DeFever 44 Offshore Cruiser, a DeFever 34 Passagemaker, and a DeFever 45 Pilothouse.
